Suilven crazy ice
Black & White p2
|
The first relatively warm day (8 degrees C) early in February 2010, after six weeks of the Big Freeze, led to a rapid thaw in the Inverpollaidh and Assynt hills. A bizarre zig-zag ice pattern appeared on Fionn Loch for the day, before most of the white stuff disappeared down the spating River Kirkaig to the sea.
